IntroductionLifting weights, working out, getting toned, getting buff, getting in shape...of course, there are many great reasons for heading to the gym regularly. For one, bodybuilding improves your physical strength, speeds up your metabolism, and can be just the ticket to improve your mood and attitude. Bodybuilding can make you feel great! In a society where over half of the population is overweight and out-of-shape, it feels good be improving your physique and reaching your personal goals.
Almost everyone I know feels better after a hard workout. Over time, the hard workouts pay off, and the physical changes can be so amazing that it's inspiring to do more. Once you've become addicted to your workouts, you may find yourself yearning for something more. Self-actualization, maybe? Perhaps some recognition.
