Myth:
You can lose fat in a certain area by doing exercise targeting that area specifically, such as doing sit-ups to lose weight around the mid-section.

Fact: Body part targeting has been proven false time and time again. To truly get rid of the spare tire, you've got to get your body to start burning fat (triglycerides) for energy instead of carbs (glycogen). This generally takes carb-restricting.
